My long block, which has been on an engine stand for the last few years, is in a state of partial disassembly. But I had not up until now removed the lower plenum. I had no need to really, because I'm not touching the heads or any internals at this time. But, I was contemplating removing the lower plenum to ease cleaning in and around the top side of the block, before I start swaping valve covers, gaskets, install new fuel rails, etc. However, I was just looking up the price of the gasket that goes between the head and the lower plenum (CZP, Courtesy, etc.), and it's basically ~ $150-160 to replace those two gaskets?!? REALLY? That's more than the cost of the head gaskets for chrissake. Can these gaskets be re-used, or is there a cheaper place to source them from? Thanks.
